Welcome back to a series of bonus content we started nearly a year ago at this point. Uniforms are great, and I love talking about them. But which are the best and which are the worst? That is for me, and me alone, to decide.

I’m going division by division to determine what uniforms are the best and worst for every team. My decisions are final and immutable; if you disagree, well, that’s perfectly okay and taste is subjective. I’m sure you have perfectly good reasons, and those reasons are very valid.

Here are the rules. First, the uniforms have to have appeared on the field during the most recent NFL season. I’m not looking for the best outfits of all time here, just the best of what teams are wearing currently.

Second, no throwbacks or alternates. We’re looking only at primary home and road uniforms, which are becoming increasingly hard to parse and will only get harder with the introduction of multiple helmet shells on the way. We may have to revisit this in the future.

That’s it for the rules. Here’s the best and worst of the AFC North.

Pittsburgh Steelers

There are few uniforms in the NFL more tried and true than the Steelers and they’ve barely changed in their history, so we don’t have much to talk about.

They look their best in their home blacks, while their “worst” look is better than many teams' best. I grew up with the italicized numbers, so those don’t bother me, but I know that some traditionalists still gripe about the switch. I think they’re fine!
